Eighty-two percent of Etyolo's male long-term migrants in 1971 came from only 3 age-grades: o-dugu, o-palugu and odyar (age 18-36). Over half the women came from the three corresponding female grades: od-opalugu, od-odyar and odobatya (age 12-30).

Their whereabouts in 1971 according to villagers is shown in Table 6.2.
